United States rushing for local beer from Baarle-Hertog - March 17, 2011 'Dochter van de Korenaar', a small local brewery located in Baarle-Hertog, near the Netherlands, has warmed the hearts of American beer buyers with his 'Enfant Terrible'. Though at first this beer was a failed brew, after being stocked for some time, it got a great taste. Today, brewer Ronald Mengerink can barely keep up with all orders.

Paus and Pater for sale again - January 11, 2011 Local beers Paus and Pater, produced by Brewery Keersmaekers in Vosselaar, are for sale again in local bars in town, after a halt had been called to the production of these beers for over half a century. How come? Corsendonk Brewery, located in Turnhout, will export its Tempelier beers to Israel. Today, it's already available in Europe, the USA and China.
The bet is won, Duvel Tripel Hop is back - October 1, 2010
A local beer club, called ‘de Lambiekstoempers’, made a bet with Duvel: if a group on social networksite Facebook, called “We want Duvel Tripel Hop” would get 10.000 fans, the brewery would make a second line of Tripel Hops. After a couple of weeks, the beer club won the bet, resulting in Duvel promising to brew Tripel Hop again, yet for the last time. Today, the Duvel Tripel Hop is in stores again. You'll have to be quick though, because the Tripel Hop is a unique collector's item!
Duvel-Moortgat paid 30 million euro for fellow brewery De Koninck - August 5, 2010For some months now, it was known that the Antwerp brewery De Koninck was looking for a business partner. Finally, Duvel-Moortgat got the deal by paying 30 million euro for all stocks of the brewery. What will change now that Duvel owns De Koninck, is not known yet, although it is certain that the Antwerp brewery and its personnel will remain. Source: Gazet van Antwerpen
Six Belgian beers get international recognition - July 30, 2010 At the World Beer Awards 2010, an international challenge hosted by www.tastingbeers.com, our Belgian brewers were successful. Last year, Belgian beers already scored, with about 15 beers in the winning categories. This year, one of our Beers of Antwerp, the Gouden Carolus Classic by brewery Anker, received the trophy of ‘World’s Best Dark Ale’.
